Got up around 9 AM and waited for
iceleopard to wake up. During this, his mother called and she alerted us of a last minute change of plans involving us not going to his Sister's house in Bristol but now his parents house in town. After he woke up... he had breakfast and played Warcrack for a bit. As he did all of that, I proceeded to start get myself cleaned up for the day. Sometime in all of that, we finally started opening gifts. Afterwards, we went to our rooms to relax for a bit as his mother called us a few more times wanting us to pick up a few things at the store. Great since the only store open on this day would be Walgreen's or CVS!
We made our way to Walgreen's, his parents wanted the 6-pack bottles of Pepsi and Mt. Dew... which Walgreen's did not have. After making a phone call with his parents, we ended up getting 12-pack of cans and a few 20 oz. bottles since his father prefers the bottled pop. We made it there, I decided to try for the geocache nearby to their place... and couldn't find it yet again. Gah! Got back, which we realized we forgot the fruit and vegetable trays. We ran back to our place to get those, then picked up his Grandfather, then made it back to his parents house where we had a buffet style of food. Afterwhich, we opened all the gifts (everything I got will be detailed below) and relaxed a bit before packing up to head home. We got his Grandfather home first, then went back to collect our stuff before finally heading home.
( As for what I got for the entire holiday... )
It wasn't too bad of a Christmas. I've mentioned before that the commercialism usually ruins this time of the year, but when we reach Christmas day itself... that all goes out the window and the day itself is still plenty exciting. Hopefully everybody had a decent day atleast today!

WOW! This is the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!
As some of you know, my parents have some money. Well, they were poking about to see what I'd like for Christmas. I jokingly said I'd love to replace my 23 yr old Chevrolet with the bad paint. They asked what I would like and... OH MY GOD!!!!

...that's right! I got a sweater. I can wear it in my 23 yr old Chevy. Oh well... maybe one day! Merry Christmas to all!!

Ok, most of those are actually for his nieces later today. :P
And somewhere buried in there are stuff for him. o.o
(I know the season is supposed to be more for the togetherness than the gifts, but I figured I'd post this anyway... there's only six of those boxes that were my stuff that I wrapped for this holiday. :P)

Well, I said that I would get out to see Fantastic Mr. Fox after MFF... I never got around to it.
Now it looks like it's no longer there. :/
Guess my lack of interest in going to movie theaters win again. I'll have to wait for the DVD.

Gift the first: Pushing on with health care reform and ignoring the "Party of NO."
Gift the second: Being at the gym and watching everyone cry on Faux "News."
Well done! Thank you America for proving things can still work after 8 years of extreme right wing control.

Here I am, at the office on Christmas Eve. That can mean only one thing; "The Nutcracker" is cranking out of my computer speakers. This makes about 18 years straight that I have upheld this tradition. I bought the cd's at Costco in Yakima, WA in either '91 or '92. On the last day before Xmas vacation, I always play the cd's. This year they were ripped to .mp3 so I don't have to worry about the wear on the discs. The office is quiet otherwise. My co-worker and I will head over to Carl's Jr for a tasty burger at lunchtime and then we're off for the rest of the day. Tonight I will don my gay apparel, i.e. a fursuit, and entertain all of the folks who come to Old Town to take in the holiday lights. Hopefully there will be lots of pics tomorrow!
I should also mention that we have been having a great few days as of late.
zippiner and
skitzycat invited us over for dinner on Tue. Then last night we invited them over for cake to celebrate
gavyn_lumier's b-day. He will be flying out of ABQ (hopefully) today to head home for the holidays. He, Kitty, myself, and
scritchwuff had a nice dinner at a Japanese restaurant last night to celebrate his b-day as well as the holidays. For what is supposed to be one of the better Japanese restaurants in ABQ, we were less than impressed. The company was very enjoyable, though. It's having friends like this that make me very thankful for all that I have. That also goes for the majority of you out there. Some we have met FTF, others not. To those on the "not" list, I hope that can be changed in the future. Either way, I luvs ya all. I hope you have a great Christmas and get everything you want. Just don't post it to LJ on the 26th! *LOL*

Off to the courthouse... seems 2009 wasn't full of enough suck yet so I have jury duty today on Christmas Eve. FUCKIN YEAAAAH!

Had a friend request on Facebook. When I went to add, I decided to look though people I went to High School with. I saw some guys who were absolute preppy douchebags back then... probably still now. It's classic... they are ALL in law now and ALL of their profile pics of them on the golf course.
I just had to laugh.
